Pro-Comm Respects Your Privacy

At Pro-Comm, we dedicate ourselves to your security and to the enhancement and protection of your life, property and loved ones. In that effort, we respect and protect the privacy of those who use our web site, products, and services. This document, effective May 1, 2002, specifically describes how we handle your personally identifiable information and applies to products and services provided by Pro-Comm or companies owned, or controlled by Pro-Comm (hereafter referred to as subsidiaries) as well as subcontractors or service providers for Pro-Comm.

General Policy

Your information will not be used other than for the routine customary and expected services contracted for. It will not be, sold for marketing purposes, nor will Pro-Comm be used as a marketing portal to you via our mailing or telephone database.

When you visit our web site, or acquire or use our products or services, we may collect the following types of information about you:
General information, such as your name, address, phone, and e-mail address to fulfill your requested service and to contact you in the future. Information to verify your identity, such as your chosen or assigned password, in order to provide you with secure access. We may also verify your identity, by means of a cookie. Cookies may also be used to manage your shopping cart when you purchase products on our web site. Financial information, such as credit history, may be obtained from a consumer reporting agency. Technical information may be obtained about your various systems so that we may provide you with the correct product or service you request. Occasionally we may use a picture of your project as an example of our work quality and projects undertaken. These pictures and any related text will be generic in nature and will not reveal any personally identifiable information. In the case of a business, we may reveal the business name, only.

When it may be necessary to share the information you provide:
Pro-Comm does not share your personally identifiable information with third parties unless it is related to fulfilling the services you’ve asked us to perform. The information you provide us can only be shared under limited circumstances. These include:

Within Pro-Comm and our subsidiaries:
We may share information about you, and the products and services you have purchased from us, among Pro-Comm and our subsidiaries, all of whom follow our privacy policies.

With subcontractors or service providers:
In some cases, we employ service providers to provide a product you order or to fulfill a service you request. Examples include delivering products, monitoring your alarm system and subcontracted workers. While this may require us to share your information, these service providers are strictly prohibited from using your information other than to act on our behalf.

If we transfer the servicing rights of your monitoring:
Although it is unlikely for Pro-Comm to do so, monitoring accounts are commonly sold. When transferring the service rights of your monitoring, we provide your file and other documents and information, to the purchaser or servicer. Customers are notified of this practice when contracting for services from Pro-Comm and again at the point in time just prior to such a transfer.

For legal reasons:
In some cases we may be required to disclose certain information to comply with the law, an investigation, or a legal process, such as a court order or subpoena.

In case of a sale of a business:
Your information may be transferred in connection with a sale, merger, transfer, exchange, or other disposition (whether of assets, stock, or otherwise) of all or a portion of a business of Pro-Comm, or its subsidiaries.

Our Security Safeguards:
We employ industry-standard physical, electronic, and procedural security safeguards to protect the personally identifiable information that you have provided to us from loss, misuse, or unauthorized alteration. Whenever we prompt you to transmit sensitive information, such as a credit card number, to us through our web sites, we support encryption of your data as it is transmitted. Security information changes you desire will be requested in writing and or password verified. All deliveries are made in well-marked company vehicles.
